Interested in-service civil servants who meet the eligibility criteria as per section 7.3.2 of the Promotion Rules Regulations Chapter 13, BCSR 2010 may apply for Tourism Officer and interested graduates who have scored more than 50 % in BCSE 2011 with Eligibility Certificate may apply for the Assistant Tourism Officer-II. Applicants with relevant qualification/training and work experience shall be given preference for the purpose of short listing.

Tourism Council of Bhutan will be carrying out the annual license renewal for tour guides and trekking cooks from 01^st January-28^th February 2012.

All concerned should produce a copy of valid NOC (Police clearance), citizenship identity card and a legal stamp during the renewal period.

[Announcement] Guide License Renewal

Tourism Council of Bhutan would like to inform all the guides who have not renewed their license since 2009 to sit for a test on 29^th December, 2011 to renew their license. Thereafter, the invalid license will not be renewed and the guides will have to undergo the full training course.

The Tourism Council of Bhutan will be conducting training for Cultural Guides. All interested candidates with minimum qualification of Class x may register with relevant documents with the Services Division latest by 21^st December 2011. [Announcement] Chinese Language Training

The Tourism Council of Bhutan will be conducting a short course / training on Basic Chinese Language starting mid December, 2011. All interested individuals with a minimum qualification of class 12 may register with Services Division, TCB on or before December 09, 2011. However, Tour Guides holding valid license are encouraged to apply for the course.

The first Dochula Druk Wangyel Tshechu (Festival) will be held at Dochula from 9 a.m onwards on the 13^th of December 2011. Everyone is welcome to witness the first Druk Wangyel Festival and also enjoy the panoramic view of Himalayan mountain range as the sky is clearer during this time of the year; however, you must also remember to cover yourself in warm clothes as it will be cold at Dochula during December.
