Austrian Scholarship

Tourism Council of Bhutan in coordination with Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) is pleased to announce Austrian Scholarship for the training course on Tourism & Hospitality Management, Klessheim, Austria for the year 2010-2011.

Interested candidates from the Tourism Sector only may apply to the HR Focal Person, TCB latest by 10th March 2010 with the following documents.

  1. Curriculum Vitae with details of all education and professional experience with clear list of achievements.
  2. Academic transcripts – School (final year), diploma, degree, etc.
  3. Recommendation letter from a parent Company (present work)
  4. Copy of valid Security Clearance Certificate
  5. Copy of valid Medical Transcript
  6. Copy of Citizenship Identity Card

The Short listed candidates will be called for an interview on 16th March 2010.

Nomination Criteria

  1. Candidates should be a Bhutanese national
  2. Should be nominated by a parent organization/ Company
  3. Should be an employer/employee of Hotels & Tourism firm in the country
  4. Should have minimum qualification of Class XII or equivalent certificate
  5. Should submit all the necessary documents along with the application

All the following documents are also required:

  • Copies of Certificates-School (final year), diploma, degree, etc.
  • Other certificates- vocational training, etc
  • Curriculum vitae or Resume Recommendation letter (from your present work)
  • Birth certificate
  • Copy of your passport
  • Future Dream – what is your vision for the next 10 years in the tourism industry? Where would you like to be? Which position do you expect to hold and how do you intend to achieve this dream?
  • Essay (attach a short outline about how tourism can contribute to poverty reduction)
  • Certificate proving knowledge of English (TOEFL, Cambridge or equivalent) – this certificate is not necessary to produce till the final nomination is completed.
