Criteria for Foreign Recruitment
TCBS would like to announce that the 2nd TCB meeting has approved employment of one foreign national for Bhutanese tour companies on a pilot basis based on the following criteria:
- The Bhutanese tour company must be dealing solely with a particular source market that has severe language barriers that hinders effective communication and promotional activities.
- A clear TOR for the foreign employee shall be drawn up and endorsed by the TCBS.
- The employee shall be hired for a term of one year on a trial basis after which it will be reviewed and any extension required will be dependent on the fulfillment of the terms of reference.
- The employment of the foreign national should ensure that a minimum of 1000 (one thousand) new and verifiable arrivals annually are realized from the particular source market.
- The Bhutanese tour company or its foreign partner shall not divert tourists or agents from another tour operator dealing with the same source market using the foreign employee as an advantage.
- TCB will reserve the right to terminate the employment of the foreign national at any given time.
- The Bhutanese tour company shall be fully responsible for the conduct of the foreign employee.
