Trekking cook training


March 18, 2008 | A month long training was organized for 32 trekking cooks from the 1st of February, 2008 – 1st March, 2008 by the Tourism Council of Bhutan.

The training was conducted by two senior trekking cooks in preparing various dishes ranging from breakfast to dessert. The course was arranged with the objective to upgrade the knowledge and skills of the existing trekking cooks. During the cooking training, officers from the Tourism Council were invited as food connoisseurs to taste and comment on the food. The participants were issued Certificates of course completion and some deserving participants were recoginised as licensed cooks.
