June 2, 2008 | The testing phase is currently underway. Sixteen tour operators were selected for processing the visa online. A live demonstration on visa online was presented to the Tourism Council of Bhutan, Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators and Department of Immigration by the IT team to discuss on the problems incurred during the online testing. As suggested, the IT team has to incorporate few fields on TASHEL software so as to make the system user friendly to the Visa Officers. Some provisions will also be made for check and balance on the financial status between the Visa Officers and the Accounts Section in the Tourism Council of Bhutan.
