Notification (15/06/2019)

This is to notify all tour operators that Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) has been receiving an increasing number of feedbacks and complaints from hoteliers and other allied entities related to delays and defaults in payments resulting in bad debts.

In this regard, TCB would like to request the tour operators to clear the pending payments at the earliest and also request all tour operators henceforth to close your invoice as soon as the tourists depart and also clear all related bills. In the event of failure to do so, the matter shall be pursued as per the Tourism Rules and Regulations 2017 and any other regulations related to operations of licensed businesses in the Kingdom.

This notification is being issued for compliance with immediate effect.
