Notification for non-settlement of bills

Although we take complete cognizance of all stakeholders in tourism sector being badly affected due to COVID-19 and also equally share the concern regarding its growing adverse impact felt by all tourism service providers, we regretfully would like to notify all concerned that the Tourism Council of Bhutan has been receiving several complaints against some tour operators regarding the non-settlement of their bills for the services availed even prior to the crisis.  

Hence, we would request concerned tour operators to verify and process for the release of the excess amount and settle the pending bills at the earliest considering the difficult times all service providers are going through. Moreover, we also came to know that some of the tour operators against whom the complaint has been lodged have excess balance in their Tashel account.

Therefore, any tour operator failing to settle such bills without any justifiable reason hereafter shall be liable for strict action including revoking of their technical clearance issued for applying of license and also recommend cancellation of license.
