Notification of drug testing for tourist guides and trekking cooks

In pursuance to the "High Value Low Volume" tourism policy and providing exclusive services to the tourists, all tourist guides and trekking cooks must produce a drug free certificate as a mandatory document for license renewal starting from December 1, 2019. The drug test will be conducted at the Tourism Council of Bhutan in collaboration with the Bhutan Narcotics Control Authority. The cost of drug test shall be borne by the individual.

Failure to comply with the above requirement will lead to non-renewal of license. We thank all concerned for your kind support and cooperation.
