Notification to ABTO and GAB

This is to inform that we have received a concern related to the increase in the number of dogs and associated problems in Gasa Dzongkhag mainly due to dogs brought by tourists/tour operators. Due to this Gasa Dzongkhag faced problems such as increase in dog population, disharmony and clash with highland dogs etc.

The issue was discussed in the Dzongkhag Tshogdu and decided that henceforth all tourists/tour operator shall not be allowed to take their dogs beyond Paro Shana.  

In this regard, you are requested to kindly inform all tours operators/guides/agents to abide by the decision of the Dzongkhag Tshogdu and cooperate by not taking any dogs with tourists beyond Paro Shana.
