The Tourism Council of Bhutan in collaboration with the Department of Occupational Standards, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources will be conducting a National level Skills Competition for employees of tourism industry from 10th - 12th June, 2014 at the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality, Motithang, Thimphu. The Competition will be held in the following trades:

  1. Baking and Confectionary
  2. Food Production (Cooking)
  3. Food and Beverage Service
  4. House Keeping
  5. Cultural Tourist Guiding

This is to inform aspiring and interested practitioners fulfilling following criteria in the above trades to kindly register for the competition:

In case, registered participants in each trade exceed the limited number, the Department will be conducting portfolio and theory based assessment to select the best candidates to participate in the actual competition.

The prize money for the competition is:

  1. Winner: Nu.50,000/-
  2. First Runner Up: Nu. 30,000/-
  3. Second Runner Up: Nu. 15,000/-

Please kindly submit the duly filled registration form along with required documents to either of above mentioned offices latest by 16th May, 2014. However, for those who have registered before please submit required documents only.
