Saddle Announcement

Tourism Council of Bhutan have procured and delivered twenty numbers of riding saddles to the horse owners of Trashigang and Paro Dzongkhag on 50:50 cost sharing. This is done for the general safety and comfort of the tourist. Therefore to ensure the usage of standard horse saddles for riding purpose in the Tourism industry, we would like to urge all the tour operators to insist on using such saddles for riding purpose.

For other areas where riding pony is used for trekking, tour operators can inform horse contractors to procure such saddles in consultation with Tourism Council of Bhutan. For details you can contact Karma Jigme at 02-336127 during office hours.
